Bollywood celebs wish for individuals' security after huge flood in Uttarakhand

A glacial mass severed at Joshimath in Chamoli locale, prompting a huge flood in the Dhauli Ganga stream.

Film characters, including CBFC administrator essayist Prasoon Joshi, entertainers Dia Mirza, Shraddha Kapoor, and producer Abhishek Kapoor on Sunday conveyed petitions for the security of individuals of Uttarakhand as an icy mass severed at Joshimath in Chamoli region, prompting a huge flood in the Dhauli Ganga waterway. 

The flood caused enormous scope destruction in the upper spans of the environmentally delicate Himalayas, with 50-100 workers working at the Rishi Ganga power project missing. 

Shraddha Kapoor took to Twitter and expressed, "Troubling to catch wind of the ice sheet severing in #Uttarakhand. Asking everybody's security there." 

Mirza, who is vocal about ecological issues, said man-made developments in the Himalayas added to the misfortune. 

"Building such a large number of dams in the Himalayas has lead to this. Supplications for individuals of Chamoli," the Sanju entertainer composed and shared helpline number of the Disaster Operations Center. 

Following the glacial mass burst, homes en route were cleared away as the waters surged down the mountainsides in a furious downpour. There were fears of harm in human settlements downstream. Numerous towns were emptied and individuals taken to more secure regions.

Movie producer Abhishek Kapoor, whose Sushant Singh Rajput-drove sentimental show Kedarnath was set against the setting of the 2013 Uttarakhand floods, appealed to God for the prosperity of individuals.

Focal Board of Film Certification boss Joshi said he trusts Chamoli and different locale of Uttarakhand stay as protected from the ice sheet burst and "no lives are imperiled."

Maker Ronnie Screwvala said the floods were a stunning presentation of nature's rage and expounded on the "insensitive" approach of individuals towards environmental change. 

"Power of nature – disheartened to see a fiasco unfurling #Uttarakhand – then again, actually with all our insensitive way to deal with environmental change/an Earth-wide temperature boost – not certain we can call these "cataclysmic events" any longer!" he composed.
