Dark swan spotted on Milford Haven conduit


An uncommon locating of a dark swan has been made in Pembrokeshire. 

Picture taker Giles Davies saw the swan among a gathering of white ones on the Milford Haven conduit, on Saturday. 

"It's unordinary, extremely abnormal... the first occasion when I've seen them, I've never observed anything like it," Mr Davies said. 

He read the swan for quite a while and it is "in great condition" and "living cheerfully" among different swans. 

"With respect to where it's originated from, not an intimation. I don't have a clue," he included. 

"The swans regularly bunch together on the conduit during winter."

Dark swans are normal in the wetlands of south western and eastern Australia and contiguous waterfront islands. 

A couple of dark swans were sent as a blessing to Winston Churchill from the administration of the day in Western Australia. 

Some dark swans are still at Chartwell in Kent, when the home of Churchill and now a National Trust property. 

An investigation of winged creature populaces in 2012 discovered there were 37 affirmed settling sets of dark swans in the nation. 

In Dawlish, Devon, the flying creature has become an image of the town.
